Business
Goldgroup Mining Inc. is a Canadian-based gold producer, developer and explorer focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of advanced-stage gold-bearing mineral properties in Mexico. The company owns and operates the Cerro Prieto heap-leach gold mine located in Sonora state, which produces approximately 11,500 ounces of gold annually from the Esperanza zone and is expanding with a second crushing circuit targeting at least 24,000 ounces per year along with re-leaching of existing pads containing over 10 million tons of material; it also holds a 100% interest in the fully permitted Pinos gold-silver project in Zacatecas, a high-grade past-producing underground deposit with a completed 2018 Preliminary Economic Assessment based on the Cinco Estrellas vein and multiple additional exploration targets. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Goldgroup conducts all primary operations in Mexico, one of the world's premier mining jurisdictions, with ongoing high-impact exploration at Cerro Prieto including 6,000 metres of diamond drilling, geophysical surveys and trenching at Nuevo Esperanza and Reyna zones to delineate additional resources. Recent developments include the July 2025 completion of the Pinos project acquisition to bolster its development pipeline and a September 2025 closing of a CAD 4 million non-brokered private placement to fund strategic acquisitions and growth initiatives in the mining sector.
