Great Portland Estates Plc (GPE.L) is a FTSE 250 real estate investment trust focused on owning, repositioning, and developing central London commercial properties, including office, retail, and mixed-use assets valued at GBP2.4 billion. The company offers ready-to-fit office spaces such as One Newman Street, The Hickman, Carrington House, Kingsland House, Elm Yard, Wells & More, and Kent House; fully managed workspaces including SIX, Bramah House, Woolyard, 19/23 Wells Street, and Whittington House; and strategically located retail units on high streets like 141 Wardour Street. Primarily operating in London's West End districts including Fitzrovia, Soho, Mayfair, Marylebone, Farringdon, and London Bridge, with assets also in the City such as Bloomberg Headquarters, GPE was founded in 1959 and is headquartered at 33 Cavendish Square, London. In recent developments, the company completed a GBP350 million rights issue and deployed proceeds into three acquisitions totaling GBP106.1 million (GBP201.0 million including capex) since April 2024 at a 61% discount to replacement cost, executed a property swap for The Courtyard in WC1 with a new 125-year headlease on 19/23 Wells Street, and acquired The Gable in WC1 for GBP18 million from the City of London Corporation to expand its fully managed portfolio toward 1 million square feet by 2030.
