The company offers a comprehensive range of products including hospital information systems; social and continuum care information systems; diagnostic solutions such as laboratory information systems (LIS), radiology information systems (RIS), PACS imaging diagnostics, transfusion systems, and critical care; pharmaceutical and drug logistics automation; digital payment platforms and electronic payment solutions for healthcare and public administration; IT security, cybersecurity services, and turnkey ICT maintenance; healthcare call and contact center solutions; and virtual care and telemedicine technologies. GPI also provides specialized services for patient care enhancement, administrative and accounting systems, human resources management, business intelligence, data analytics, and integration middleware. The company targets public and private healthcare facilities, social cooperatives, territorial healthcare systems, and public administrations primarily across Italy and more than 70 countries globally. Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Trento, Italy, GPI has expanded through strategic acquisitions and alliances, including the recent full acquisition of TESI to strengthen its international software offerings in high-profit healthcare segments, as well as the 2023 acquisition of French group Evolucare to broaden its European footprint. In 2024, it completed the divestiture of its subsidiary Argentea S.r.l. The company reported revenues of approximately EUR 510 million in 2024, supported by a workforce exceeding 7,600 employees. GPI continues to invest heavily in mergers and acquisitions, amounting to around EUR 400 million since 2017, and has ongoing plans to enhance vertical global products in blood management, diagnostics, and critical care. The company’s industrial plan outlines a strategic focus on technological innovation, international growth, and integrated solutions aimed at optimizing clinical, care, administrative, and social healthcare pathways. GPI operates through multiple subsidiaries and branches across Italy, the USA, Latin America, various European countries, China, and North Africa, demonstrating its extensive international presence. Its latest product launches include the Gpi4Med suite, a global software solution for medical device management across diagnostics, blood management, critical care, and telemedicine. The company continues to develop advanced automation systems for pharmaceutical and medical device logistics, characterized by high precision and speed. GPI also emphasizes digital payment innovation, document dematerialization, AI integration, and wearable technology applications to improve healthcare system sustainability and patient quality of life. Recently, private equity interest from KKR has emerged as part of a broader strategic consideration regarding GPI’s future ownership structure amid its strong market performance and growth prospects.
