Recent strategic developments include the January 2025 agreement to acquire IDRx Inc for up to $1.15 billion to bolster its gastrointestinal cancer portfolio with IDRX-42, a selective KIT tyrosine kinase inhibitor for gastrointestinal stromal tumors; a July 2025 collaboration with Hengrui Pharma involving a $500 million upfront payment for rights to up to 12 experimental therapies in respiratory, immunology and oncology outside greater China; a September 2025 pledge to invest $30 billion in U.S. R&D and manufacturing over five years including a $1.2 billion biologics facility in Pennsylvania for respiratory and cancer medicines; the July 2024 relocation of its headquarters from Brentford to New Oxford Street in central London; and the May 2024 divestiture of its remaining 4.2% stake in Haleon for $1.58 billion following the 2022 consumer healthcare demerger.
