Business
Hunting PLC is a global precision engineering group specializing in the manufacture, supply, and distribution of equipment and premium services for the extraction of oil and gas. Its product portfolio comprises five main groups: OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods), Perforating Systems, Subsea Technologies, Advanced Manufacturing, and Other Manufacturing. The company serves upstream oil and gas companies with precision-manufactured products and fluid transfer solutions and operates across multiple regions including the United Kingdom, United States, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates. Founded in 1874 and headquartered in London with a corporate office in Houston, Hunting operates 25 production locations and 14 distribution centers in 11 countries. Recent significant developments include Hunting’s acquisition of Flexible Engineered Solutions (FES) in mid-2025, a provider of fluid transfer solutions for offshore oil and gas and renewable energy industries, enhancing the company’s subsea portfolio with proprietary products and an expanded addressable market in deepwater and ultra-deepwater segments. Additionally, in early 2025, Hunting acquired Organic Oil Recovery (OOR) technology for $17.5 million, securing global rights to this enhanced oil recovery innovation along with associated patents and a laboratory in California, aimed at commercializing this technology in North America and beyond to drive medium-term margin and revenue growth. The company also continues active discussions for further strategic acquisitions aligned with its Hunting 2030 Strategy, targeting subsea technologies and offshore opportunities. Concurrent with these expansions, Hunting is restructuring its EMEA operations to deliver annualized cost savings of approximately $11 million by mid-2026. Hunting reports financial metrics in US dollars, with a 2025 EBITDA guidance range of $135 million to $145 million, reflecting strong year-on-year growth supported by an order book exceeding $400 million and ongoing operational improvements. The company pursues a balance of organic growth, bolt-on acquisitions, and cost efficiencies while expanding its service offerings and geographic presence in key oil and gas markets globally. Hunting PLC is listed on the London Stock Exchange under ticker HTG.L.
