Infineon Technologies AG designs, develops, manufactures and markets semiconductors and system solutions worldwide, serving automotive, industrial power, power and sensor systems, and connected secure systems segments. The company offers microcontrollers, power semiconductors including MOSFETs, IGBTs and diodes, sensors such as current, position and speed sensors, radio-frequency components, memories, security chips for SIM cards, payment cards and identity documents, as well as application-specific integrated circuits for powertrains, safety systems, electric drives, renewable energy, LED drivers, consumer electronics and IoT devices. Founded in 1999 as a spin-off from Siemens AG, the company maintains headquarters in Neubiberg, Germany. Recent developments include the completion of its acquisition of Marvell Technology's automotive Ethernet business in August 2025 to bolster software-defined vehicle capabilities and microcontroller leadership; sale of its Bangkok/Nonthaburi site to a Malaysian partner in September 2025 alongside agreement on joint package solution development; sale of its Austin fabrication facility to SkyWater Technology in 2025 to optimize manufacturing strategy; strategic partnership with Teradyne in early 2025 involving acquisition of Infineon's automated test equipment team in Germany to advance power semiconductor testing.
