Business
Imricor Medical Systems, Inc. (ASX:IMR) develops, manufactures and sells innovative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-compatible medical devices for cardiac catheter ablation procedures in interventional cardiac magnetic resonance (iCMR) labs. Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Burnsville, Minnesota, the company offers the Vision-MR Ablation Catheter 2.0, a patented device for real-time MRI-guided ablation approved in the European Union for treating type 1 atrial flutter; the Vision-MR Diagnostic Catheter; the Advantage-MR EP Recorder/Stimulator System, an electrophysiology amplifier, recording system and cardiac stimulator; the NorthStar Mapping System; and the Vision-MR Dispersive Electrode, along with additional consumables and capital equipment for hospitals and clinics. Imricor generates revenue primarily from Europe, followed by the Middle East and the United States, and collaborates with MRI vendors such as Koninklijke Philips N.V. and Siemens Healthcare GmbH to install iCMR labs worldwide. In June 2025, the company launched the Vision-MR Ablation Catheter 2.0 and Vision-MR Diagnostic Catheter across Europe; in May 2025, procedures commenced at Semmelweis University; in April 2025, Imricor initiated the VISABL-VT clinical trial for ischemic ventricular tachycardia; and in July 2024, it completed a A$35 million two-tranche placement led by Canaccord Genuity, with ongoing U.S. trials including the first patient treated at Johns Hopkins in August 2024 under the VISABL-AFL study.
