Business
Keras Resources Plc is a mining and exploration company primarily engaged in the production and development of manganese, cobalt, nickel, gold, and organic phosphate products. The company operates through its key projects including the Nayega manganese project in northern Togo, the Kamina cobalt and nickel project in Africa, the Warrawoona gold project in Western Australia, and the Diamond Creek organic phosphate mine in Utah, United States. Keras Resources wholly owns and operates the Diamond Creek mine, one of the highest-grade organic phosphate deposits in the US, producing a variety of high-grade, certified organic phosphate fertilizers tailored for the US market, including PhoSul® granules through a 50/50 joint venture with PhoSul LLC. The company also engages in exploration and development of precious metals and industrial minerals across its geographic operations spanning West Africa, Australia, and North America. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Cobham, United Kingdom, Keras Resources has recently advanced its strategic portfolio through notable developments. In 2025, the company secured the exploitation permit for its Nayega manganese project in Togo and signed an initial offtake agreement, marking a significant operational milestone. Additionally, Keras Resources completed the acquisition of a Klondyke gold project in Western Australia and acquired a 49% minority stake in Falcon Isle Resources LLC for $3.2 million to consolidate its asset base. In the US phosphate segment, the company progressed to hot commissioning and production of organic phosphate granules at its Delta processing facility, enhancing its market presence in the fast-growing US organic fertilizer market. It has also launched an open offer to raise capital to support its growth initiatives. These actions underscore Keras Resources' strategic expansion into diversified mineral resources and its focus on building a vertically integrated mine-to-market operation in phosphate fertilization aligned with sustainable agricultural practices. Keras Resources operates principally in the industrial metals and mining sectors, targeting customers in fertilizer production, metallurgical markets, and precious metals exploration. Its main industry segments are manganese, phosphate, cobalt, nickel, and gold, serving markets across the United States, Africa, and Australia. The company's integrated approach includes mining, processing, beneficiation, and marketing of its core commodities. Its strategic partnerships, such as the joint venture with PhoSul LLC, and its recent capital raising efforts support its growth and production capabilities in these markets. The company continues to focus on sustainable, carbon-neutral practices to position itself competitively within the evolving natural resources landscape.
