Business
Kwality Limited, an enterprise formerly engaged in the extensive manufacturing, processing, and selling of milk and various dairy products throughout India. Its diverse product line included offerings such as pure, low cholesterol, and cow ghee; different grades of milk like full cream, toned, and double toned; alongside sterilized flavored milk, fresh curd, traditional chaach and sweet lassi, butter, paneer, assorted flavored yogurts, instant dairy creamer, and both skimmed and whole milk powders. The company primarily marketed its products under the "Dairy Best" brand name. Initially incorporated in 1992 as Kwality Dairy (India) Limited, the company adopted its current Kwality Limited designation in August 2013, operating from its base in New Delhi, India. Historically, it extended its market reach by exporting products to various international locations across Asia, Africa, and Australia, encompassing countries such as Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Seychelles, and Sri Lanka. However, the entity subsequently faced substantial financial difficulties, culminating in bankruptcy proceedings and eventual liquidation. Investigations by federal agencies have targeted the company's former promoters concerning allegations of bank loan fraud exceeding ₹1,400 crore. Following the resolution process under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, Sarda Mines Private Limited acquired the company's assets.
