Lightning Minerals Ltd (ASX:L1M) is a mineral exploration company focused on battery minerals and precious metals, including lithium, gold, nickel, copper, platinum group elements (PGEs), cobalt and base metals; it conducts exploration activities across tier-1 jurisdictions in Australia, Canada and Brazil. Incorporated in 2021 and headquartered at Level 11, 40 The Esplanade, Perth, Western Australia, the company holds 100% interests in multiple projects such as the Dundas project (454 sq km in Western Australia's emerging lithium super province with lithium-in-soil anomalies up to 218ppm Li, nickel, copper, PGEs and gold targets), Mt Jewell and Mailman Hill projects, Mt Bartle project, James Bay projects in Quebec (79 sq km targeting hard rock lithium deposits with 165 multispectral signatures and multiple pegmatites across Dalmas and Hiver), and the recently expanded portfolio in Brazil's Minas Gerais Lithium Valley encompassing Esperança (4,371ha with multiple pegmatites and positive assays for tantalum up to 1,245ppm, rubidium up to 1,175ppm and caesium up to 1,455ppm), Canabrava and Caraíbas. In Brazil, Lightning Minerals discovered high-grade spodumene-bearing pegmatites at Esperança in November 2024 with elongated crystals up to 50cm and assays up to 18,800ppm Li or 4.04% Li2O during early-stage mapping, reconnaissance and soil sampling, providing walk-up drill targets for a fully funded program commencing in Q1 2025; the company completed acquisition of Lotus Minerals Pty Ltd, adding Queensland gold-copper projects like Mt Turner with historic high-grade hits including 16m at 3.56g/t Au and planned follow-up drilling, alongside a A$2.5 million capital raising in November 2025 to fund aggressive Phase 2 drilling campaigns at its gold, copper and lithium assets across Queensland and New South Wales, with drilling results pending and further assays expected.
