Business
Marshall Machines Limited (MARSHALL.NS) designs, develops, manufactures and markets precision CNC machine tools in India. The company produces a wide range of CNC turning centers, including patented double spindle CNC turning centers, single spindle high-performance turning machines, turn-mill centers for complex applications, vertical machining centers for prismatic parts and full turnkey automated solutions incorporating robots, gantry systems, autoloaders and automatic inspection stations for zero-defect production; it also offers Industry 4.0 software for machine monitoring and optimization, hard turning machines and customized special-purpose machines. Marshall Machines provides complete machining solutions to manufacturers of axles, crankshafts, auto parts, fans, pumps, bearings, gear blanks and bushes, serving institutional customers and SMEs across the automobile, auto ancillaries, consumer durables, appliances, general engineering, electronics, steel, electric vehicles, defense and semiconductor sectors; its clientele includes Hero Honda group companies, Rockman, GNA, Usha, Havells, Amtek Auto and vendors to Maruti, TVS, Sona, Mahindra, Hyundai and Bosch. Founded in 1961 by Gautam Sarup and headquartered in Ludhiana, Punjab, the company operates primarily in India with a sales and service network nationwide and exports machine components to the US and other markets. In recent developments, Marshall Machines launched a new range of vertical machining centers, imported advanced technology from Europe to enhance competitiveness, completed acquisition of new technologies targeting high-growth sectors like electric vehicles, defense and semiconductors, conducted a rights issue of Rs 45.63 crore in 2023 to fund technology acquisitions and working capital improvements and expanded into automated Industry 4.0-enabled smart CNC solutions with over 4,000 machines deployed to more than 1,500 clients.
