Business
Mayfield Group Holdings Limited (ASX:MYG) is an Australian holding company providing electrical and telecommunications infrastructure products and services across the lifecycle of critical systems; it manufactures customised switchboards, kiosks, transportable switch rooms, and electrical protection panels through Mayfield Industries Pty Ltd, which handles project management, engineering, design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning; offers high, medium, and low voltage infrastructure services including switching, testing, maintenance, and asset replacement via Mayfield Services Pty Ltd; and delivers telecommunications network design, supply, installation, commissioning, maintenance support, critical power systems, power quality test instrumentation, and audits through ATI Australia Pty Ltd, alongside subsidiaries such as Walker Control Pty Ltd and Mayfield Engineering Pty Ltd. The company operates nationally with manufacturing facilities in South Australia and Western Australia, service operations in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth, and targets sectors including data centres, AI applications, renewables, defence, essential services, transport electrification, resources, and energy. Founded in 1936 with South Australian origins as FR Mayfield and headquartered at 3 Gidgie Court, Edinburgh, South Australia 5111, it maintains a work-in-hand of approximately $125 million and emphasises onshore manufacturing for supply chain security and customisation. In a major strategic expansion, Mayfield completed the acquisition of B.E. Switchcraft Pty Ltd in August 2025 for AUD7 million (AUD5 million cash and AUD2 million in shares), adding expertise in energy management systems, power factor correction, lighting control, room automation, and profile cutting services to enhance its commercial market reach, data centre solutions, and competitive position against multinational importers; the deal, announced in June 2025, provides immediate earnings accretion with positive FY26 EBIT contribution and retains key BE Switchcraft leadership on long-term contracts.
