Business
Nexus Infrastructure plc Nexus Infrastructure plc is a United Kingdom-based provider of civil engineering and infrastructure solutions, primarily serving the housebuilding, commercial, water, rail, highways, rivers, and marine sectors through its subsidiaries Tamdown Group Limited and Coleman Construction & Utilities Limited. The company offers a comprehensive range of services including earthworks; highways construction; substructures and basements; installation of sustainable drainage systems; utility network design, installation, and connection such as energy, water, and fibre networks; electrical vehicle charging infrastructure; and civil engineering projects encompassing building works in water, rail, highways, rivers, and marine environments, with operations focused on the South East of England and London targeting housebuilders, affordable housing developers, housing associations, and national infrastructure clients. Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Braintree, Essex, the company, formerly known as Garbol plc until its name change in June 2016, generates revenue through these segments while employing approximately 248 people. In October 2024, Nexus Infrastructure plc completed the acquisition of Coleman Construction & Utilities Limited for total consideration of up to £5.38 million, including initial cash of £3.08 million, adjustments for net cash, and performance-based deferred payments of up to £1.30 million, marking a strategic diversification into critical UK national infrastructure sectors beyond residential housebuilding and expected to be immediately earnings enhancing. This move aligns with the group's ongoing strategy to expand service offerings and reduce exposure to short-term economic fluctuations in the housing market, supported by recent FY25 trading updates indicating revenue growth to approximately £65.9 million for the year ended 30 September 2025.
