Business
Antares Metals Limited (ASX:AM5), formerly NickelSearch Limited, is an Australian mineral exploration company focused on nickel sulphide, lithium, copper and uranium deposits; it advances its flagship Carlingup Project in the Ravensthorpe Greenstone Belt of Western Australia, covering approximately 195 square kilometers across eight mining licenses and seven exploration licenses with an existing resource base of 155kt contained nickel; and the newly acquired Mt Isa North Project in Queensland, spanning 2,003 square kilometers of highly prospective tenements for copper, gold, silver and uranium including the Surprise and Startle prospects. The company targets battery minerals and base metals supply chains, operating primarily in Western Australia and Queensland with headquarters in West Perth, Western Australia; founded in 2004, it listed on the ASX in October 2021. Recent developments include the completion of the transformational acquisition of Capella Metals Limited and interests from Bacchus Resources in October 2024 for the Mt Isa North Project at a cost of AUD 1.76 million via share issuance; a fully underwritten AUD 2.1 million non-renounceable entitlement offer closed in October 2024 to fund exploration drilling; appointments of Bruno Seneque and Richard Maddocks to the board; and a rebranding to Antares Metals Limited effective December 6, 2024 with a new ASX code AM5 alongside a strategic shift toward copper and uranium emphasis.
