Optima Health plc provides technology-enabled corporate health and wellbeing solutions in the occupational health sector throughout the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. Founded in 1947 and headquartered in Sheffield, England, the company delivers a comprehensive range of flexible occupational health services, including strategy and advisory; risk and compliance such as health surveillance, pre-placement screening, fitness for work assessments, and immunizations; performance and attendance management; mental health services comprising employee assistance programmes (EAP), counselling, and eCBT; musculoskeletal services with digital triage tools, physiotherapy, and rehabilitation pathways; and engagement and wellbeing solutions featuring holistic platforms integrated with fitness devices. It operates through four core hubs, over 48 occupational health clinics, more than 30 mobile clinic solutions, and a team of over 800 clinicians including consultant physicians, occupational health nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, counsellors, and psychologists, serving public sector clients such as the NHS, central and local government, and Blue Light organisations as well as private sector customers in energy and utilities, construction, manufacturing, rail, transport, and financial services. In recent developments, Optima Health plc demerged from Marlowe plc in 2024 to list independently on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange; acquired Cognate Health Limited in 2025 for up to €9 million to expand into Ireland with approximately 30 clinic sites and enhanced multinational capabilities; acquired Care first in 2025 for £15,000 to bolster mental health and EAP services with over 1,000 new customers and 40 specialists; and acquired BHSF Occupational Health Ltd in 2025 for £1.4 million, adding £8 million in annual revenue and 60 clinicians to support strategic growth in workplace health solutions.
