Business
Rome Resources Plc is a United Kingdom-based mineral exploration company focused on tin and polymetallic projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Incorporated in 1991 and headquartered at 167-169 Great Portland Street, Fifth Floor, London, W1W 5PF, the company holds option agreements to acquire up to 80% interests in the Bisie North Tin Project, comprising two contiguous properties (PR 13274 and PR 15130) covering approximately 38 square kilometers in the Walikale Territory of North Kivu Province; the project offers primary exposure to high-grade tin with secondary copper, zinc, lead, and silver mineralization at prospects including Kalayi, Mont Agoma, and Mont Agoma North. Rome Resources targets institutional and retail investors in the critical minerals sector, with operations centered in eastern DRC adjacent to Alphamin Resources' producing Bisie Tin Project. In 2024, the company completed a reverse takeover via acquisition of Pathfinder Minerals Plc, rebranding from Rome Minerals Plc and listing on AIM; it raised £4.2 million in strategic investment, published its maiden mineral resource estimate confirming a large multi-metallic system with significant tin potential, launched drilling campaigns at Mont Agoma and Kalayi yielding high-grade tin intercepts including continuity of mineralization, and in November 2025 announced a £1.9 million placing alongside mobilization for expanded drilling targeting up to 144,000 additional tonnes of resources.
