Sonic Healthcare Limited (ASX: SHL), headquartered in Sydney, Australia, and founded in 1987, ranks as one of the world's leading providers of medical diagnostic services, including pathology and clinical laboratory testing in disciplines such as biochemistry, cytopathology, genetics, haematology, histopathology, immunoserology and molecular pathology; radiology and diagnostic imaging services; primary care through medical centres; and occupational health services. The company operates across Australia, New Zealand, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and Ireland, where it holds the largest private pathology position in Australia, Germany, Switzerland and the UK, the second-largest in Belgium and New Zealand, and the third-largest in the US, employing approximately 45,000 people including 1,600 pathologists and radiologists. Sonic recently completed acquisitions in Germany, Switzerland, the UK and the US that contribute about A$700 million in additional annual revenue from FY25 alongside new contract wins, driving projected EBITDA growth to A$1.7-A$1.75 billion in FY25 and further margin expansion in FY26; reported FY25 revenue of A$9.6 billion and net profit of A$514 million; and announced Dr. Jim Newcombe as incoming CEO and Managing Director effective 20 November 2025, succeeding Dr. Colin Goldschmidt.
