Strip Tinning Holdings plc is a United Kingdom-based manufacturer and supplier of specialist electrical connection systems for the automotive sector, headquartered in Birmingham with operations focused on Europe, North America and global Tier 1 OEM customers; founded in 1957 and listed on AIM in 2022, the company operates through two main segments comprising Glazing circuits for traditional and advanced vehicle glass applications and Battery Technologies for electric vehicle power systems. Its core products include windshield soldering connectors and heating materials such as FPC antenna connectors, flat foil connectors, solder busbars, adhesive busbars, preformed busbars and heating wires; back-lite soldering connectors encompassing solder bridge connectors, crimp contact connectors and round wire connectors; roof glass Polymer-Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) connectors for smart glass; automotive flex products for lighting, heating, smart glass and antennas; and battery technologies featuring heavy-duty laminated busbars, integrated laminated busbar cell contact systems, rigid carrier cell contact systems and sensing flexible printed circuits (FPCs). Recent developments include securing a major purchase order in October 2025 for its battery system connector in the D phase of the Zoox Robotaxi project ahead of serial production in April 2026, which represents the largest of three key nominations won in 2024; announcing two significant PDLC project wins post-year-end 2024 with major Tier 1 suppliers for Mercedes, Porsche and Audi vehicles carrying a combined lifetime value of GBP 18.6 million; completing a GBP 5 million fundraise in early 2025 to support expansion in battery technologies and glazing; reporting full-year 2024 revenue of GBP 9.0 million with improved gross margins to 33.1% from 30.6%; and receiving a GBP 269,000 R&D tax credit payment from HMRC for 2023 activities.
