Business
Swoop Holdings Limited (ASX:SWP) operates as a fixed wireless, fibre, and wholesale network infrastructure carrier in Australia, providing high-performance national network services as an alternative to major carriers; core offerings include fixed wireless broadband and fixed wireless access to residential and business customers under the Swoop brand, NBN fixed line and fixed wireless services, residential mobile telephony via Moose Mobile on the Optus network, fibre-to-the-premises networks such as the initial rollout in Geraldton’s Seacrest Estate delivering up to 8 Gbps, dark fibre point-to-point solutions between data centres, wholesale transit and voice services to ISPs and telcos, business internet plans including Ethernet, and channel partner reseller opportunities. Founded in the 1990s in Gippsland Victoria originally as a computer services and fixed wireless provider and incorporated in 1987, the company is headquartered at Level 5, 126 Phillip Street, Sydney, NSW 2000, with operations spanning regional and rural areas across Australia focused on underserved communities. Recent developments include the July 2024 divestment of its wholesale voice business (Voicehub Group and Harbourtel) to Pivotel for $9 million cash to sharpen focus on core infrastructure, a July 2024 announcement of major fibre expansion in greater Melbourne backed by 20-year contracts with a NASDAQ-listed global tech firm committing minimum $24 million revenue over 22 years with construction targeting FY26 completion, a 20% revenue increase to $106.5 million in FY25 with 14% growth in core EBITDA and 14% subscriber rise, acquisition of a 19.9% stake in Vonex Limited (ASX:VN8) in September 2024 for $2.87 million amid a non-binding takeover bid that ultimately saw divestment of the stake for $6.2 million in October 2025, and ongoing organic growth in mobile services post-2022 Moose Mobile acquisition alongside fixed wireless infrastructure builds.
