Business
Viva Energy Group Limited functions as a prominent energy and convenience retail enterprise spanning Australia, Singapore, and Papua New Guinea. The company structures its operations across three primary divisions: Convenience & Mobility, Commercial & Industrial, and Energy & Infrastructure. The Convenience & Mobility segment oversees an expansive integrated network of fuel and convenience offerings across Australia. This includes sites operating under the Shell brand through a licensing agreement, alongside its directly owned and operated Coles Express convenience business, which was fully acquired in May 2023. Further expanding its retail footprint and transition towards convenience, Viva Energy completed the acquisition of the OTR Group in March 2024, intending to rebrand many existing sites and grow its offering of quick-service restaurants. The combined network, also encompassing Reddy Express, Liberty, and Westside branded service stations, now exceeds 1,000 retail locations, providing fuels, lubricants, and a diverse range of convenience goods. The Commercial & Industrial division delivers an array of fuel, lubricant, and specialized hydrocarbon products, including polypropylene, to various corporate clients. These customers operate across critical sectors such as aviation, marine, transportation, resources, construction, agriculture, and manufacturing, along with a network of wholesalers. Viva Energy is also a significant supplier to the Australian Defence Force. The Energy & Infrastructure segment centers on its refining capabilities and extensive logistics chain. It manages and operates the Geelong Refinery in Victoria, converting crude oil into essential petroleum products such as petrol, diesel, and jet fuel, in addition to manufacturing specialty items like liquid petroleum gas, bitumen, oils, and chemical products. This division is supported by a comprehensive supply chain infrastructure, comprising over 20 terminals, storage facilities, depots, pipelines, and distribution assets across Australia, with a presence at more than 70 airports and airfields. The company was originally incorporated in 2018 and maintains its headquarters in Docklands, Australia.
