Business
Yuhan Corporation is a prominent healthcare company engaged in the research, development, and manufacturing of a broad spectrum of pharmaceutical products and related goods both within South Korea and globally. The company operates across diverse segments, offering vital active pharmaceutical ingredients and sophisticated intermediates for various treatments, including antivirals, antibiotics, antihistamines, antidiabetics, and compounds targeting central nervous system disorders. Within its extensive pharmaceutical portfolio, Yuhan develops and markets ethical drugs such as Leclaza (lazertinib), a third-generation EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor, which secured US FDA approval for EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer in combination therapy in August 2024, and Revaprazan Hydrochloride for gastrointestinal conditions. Its robust research and development pipeline is actively advancing novel therapies in key areas like oncology, including next-generation lung cancer treatments, immunotherapies, and bispecific antibodies, alongside innovative programs for obesity/metabolic disorders and allergy treatments. The company also provides a range of over-the-counter medications, encompassing vitamins, mineral supplements, and treatments for hepatic, respiratory, digestive, and dermatological conditions. Beyond pharmaceuticals, Yuhan extends its reach into consumer health with household products like cleaning agents, detergents, and pest control solutions, alongside a growing line of oral care items. The animal health division offers veterinary medicines, quasi-drugs, and specialized pet food and supplements under brands such as Willow Pet. Furthermore, Yuhan is a significant player in the dental sector, providing implants through its subsidiary Warantec, including the Oneplant system, and recently established a joint venture, Yuhan Evertis, for dental implants in collaboration with Shinhung. The corporation also offers contract manufacturing services, supplying active pharmaceutical ingredients to domestic and international markets. Founded in 1926 and headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, Yuhan Corporation actively pursues global expansion through strategic partnerships and licensing agreements, aiming to introduce at least two novel drugs to the global market by 2026 and become a top 50 worldwide pharmaceutical company. Recent strategic collaborations include a supply agreement for HIV medication APIs with Gilead Sciences in March 2025 and an investment in AI-integrated drug discovery platforms with Cyclica Inc.
