XJ Electric Co., Ltd. (000400.SZ) manufactures and supplies power equipment and technology solutions for the energy sector in China. The company, founded in 1993 and headquartered in Xuchang, Henan Province, affiliates with China Electrical Equipment Group Co., Ltd. and operates primarily in five core businesses including ultra-high voltage (UHV), smart grid, new energy, electric vehicle charging and battery swapping, and rail transit and industrial intelligence; it also develops emerging areas such as hydrogen energy, advanced energy storage, smart microgrid, intelligent operation and maintenance, and power Internet of Things (IoT). Its main products and services encompass intelligent power conversion and distribution systems such as relay protection systems, substation monitoring systems, intelligent substation systems, industrial control systems, intelligent primary and secondary fusion equipment, distribution terminals, and distribution network automation systems; DC transmission systems including UHV/EHVDC converter valves, control and protection sets, DC measuring equipment, DC power distribution, and DC yard equipment for over 40 HVDC projects; smart meters for energy measurement, digital power consumption, low-voltage electrical equipment, and international markets covering more than 20 countries; intelligent medium voltage power supply equipment; new energy and system integration solutions delivering over 8GW capacity across nearly 300 energy storage power stations for power generation, grid integration, load management, and frequency regulation; charging and swapping equipment forming a green, intelligent ecosystem with one-stop design, commissioning, and operation & maintenance; and electronics manufacturing services (EMS) with capabilities in single boards, devices, panels, cabinets, prefabricated cabins, and system-level power equipment. Products support all power system aspects from production, transmission, distribution, to efficient clean energy utilization, with participation in national projects like UHV smart grid construction, Three Gorges Project, nuclear power, high-speed railway, electric vehicles, smart cities, Pakistan Matiao-Lahore DC project, Xiangjiaba-Shanghai UHVDC, and Zhoushan VSC-HVDC offshore wind power transmission; they serve electric utilities, rail transit, industrial clients, and international markets in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. Recent developments include the October 2025 meeting between Chairman Li Juntao and executives from Kaufmann Electric and Sana Green Power to explore China-EU cooperation in clean energy, technological innovation, intelligent power transformation, new energy, and energy storage equipment; participation in Enlit Asia 2025 and FIEE 2025 exhibitions in September 2025 showcasing energy storage, prefabricated substations, EV chargers, and AMI systems; first application of the domestically-developed 27.5kV intelligent mobile high-voltage chamber in August 2025 at Xi'an Railway Bureau's Yan'an Substation; successful grid connection of five HV mobile substations in Saudi Arabia enduring 55°C desert conditions in 2025; deployment of three SVG sets for Argentina's 3Q Lithium Salt Lake Project in July 2025; inauguration of the Sustainable Energy Management International Joint Innovation Center with Tongji University in June 2025; and visits to Germany, Spain, and Kazakhstan in 2025 for protection devices, new energy, and market opportunities.
