Business
Dongwon Systems Corporation (014825.KS), a subsidiary of Dongwon Industries Co., Ltd., manufactures and markets comprehensive packaging materials in South Korea. The company produces flexible packaging for food, beverage, non-food, medical supplies, and daily necessities; glass bottles and PET bottles including non-pressure, heat-resistant, heat-pressure, and pressure-resistant types as well as preforms; aluminum cans and steel cans comprising two-piece bodies, bottle cans, and EOE/sanitary ends; paper boxes such as bag-type cases, triangle cases, bottle neck sleeves, carton boxes, and one-and-one cases; industrial films including display protective, hygienic, and breathable films; aluminum foils and packaging for applications in air conditioners, automobiles, electronics, secondary batteries (cathode foils and cylindrical cans), and construction; and resin films for industrial wraps and one-touch applications. Founded in 1977 and headquartered at 68 Mabang-ro, Seocho-gu, Seoul with major production facilities across South Korea including Jincheon, Cheonan, Asan, and secondary battery sites in Chilgok, Asan, and Gongju, Dongwon Systems operates globally with exports to the U.S., Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, supported by overseas subsidiaries Tan Tien Packaging, Minh Viet Packaging, and Talofa Systems. In recent years, the company completed its transformation into a total packaging specialist through the 2021 absorption merger with subsidiary Techpack Solutions (acquired in 2014), enhancing capabilities in glass and PET bottles while maintaining Dongwon Enterprises as the largest shareholder at 70.56%; it continues bold investments in R&D for differentiated packaging solutions and next-generation materials supplied to global clients including Nestle and Mars.
