The conglomerate manages integrated heat and power facilities, oversees natural gas distribution, and generates electricity through sustainable sources like natural gas and bioenergy. Its comprehensive energy portfolio also encompasses the supply of refined petroleum products, petrochemicals, base oils, and lubricants. Furthermore, the company is deeply involved in a diverse range of energy activities, including combined heat and power generation, coal-fired thermal power, renewable energy initiatives, and energy distribution networks. This includes the development and management of wind power installations and transmission lines, bioenergy provision, the transportation of liquefied petroleum gas and propylene, and activities related to oil and gas exploration and production. Within the retail sector, GS Holdings operates a prominent chain of convenience stores under the GS25 banner, manages supermarkets known as GS THE FRESH (formerly GS Supermarket), and oversees the Parnas Hotel brand for its hospitality ventures. Its retail presence also includes health and beauty outlets, as well as e-commerce platforms like GS Shop, offering television home shopping and mobile commerce experiences. Additionally, the group provides a spectrum of service-oriented businesses, from media and marketing solutions encompassing content delivery, advertising, and digital coupons, to logistics support for a wide array of goods including steel, metals, petrochemicals, and heavy machinery. It also manages professional sports teams, specifically the FC Seoul football club and the GS Caltex Seoul Kixx volleyball team. The construction arm is active in architectural design, civil engineering, residential development, industrial plant construction (including environmental and power plant projects), and offers telecommunication services. The company also operates leisure facilities, such as the Elysian resort, which features condominiums, golf courses, and ski slopes. Moreover, it delivers specialized operation and maintenance services for clients in the oil, gas, petrochemical, power generation, and environmental sectors.
