Business
Livzon Pharmaceutical Group Inc. is a comprehensive pharmaceutical company primarily engaged in the research, development, manufacturing, and distribution of pharmaceutical products. Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Zhuhai, China, the company offers a diverse portfolio including chemical drugs, biological drugs, traditional Chinese medicines, and in vitro diagnostics. Its main product categories encompass gastrointestinal drugs such as Ilaprazole enteric coated tablets and Laprazole sodium for injection; reproductive endocrinology products like Leuprorelin Acetate Microspheres and Urofollitropin injection; central nervous system drugs including Perospirone hydrochloride tablets for schizophrenia; and immune and antiviral products such as Tocilizumab injection for rheumatoid arthritis and recombinant SARS-CoV-2 fusion protein vaccine. Livzon also supplies diagnostic kits for autoimmune diseases, HIV, tuberculosis, and mycoplasma pneumonia. Its therapeutic focus includes digestive, cardiovascular, neurological, reproductive, oncological, and infectious diseases. In recent strategic developments, Livzon acquired a 64.81% controlling stake in Vietnam’s Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company for approximately USD 220.7 million, marking a significant expansion into the international market and supporting its global growth ambitions. The acquisition, financed internally, positions Livzon as Imexpharm's largest shareholder, facilitating deeper penetration into Southeast Asia’s pharmaceutical market. Alongside this, Livzon has strengthened its corporate governance framework by establishing a new Remuneration and Assessment Committee focused on compliance with Hong Kong and Shenzhen listing regulations, enhancing transparency and executive compensation oversight. Livzon Pharmaceutical operates predominantly in China with expanding geographic presence in Southeast Asia through its recent acquisition. The company maintains production of over 400 therapeutic products covering gastrointestinal, anti-infectious, cardiovascular, oncology, immunomodulatory, and neurological fields. It is publicly listed on the Hong Kong and Shenzhen stock exchanges and continues to innovate with blockbuster drugs and complex formulations. Operational updates in the past year reflect solid revenue growth projections fueled by expanded product lines and strategic alliances. These developments reinforce Livzon’s position as a leading integrated pharmaceutical group with a comprehensive product range and growing international footprint.
