Business
Yushiro Inc. manufactures and sells metalworking oils and fluids, as well as building maintenance chemicals, primarily serving machine industries, steel works, automobile production companies, and other manufacturing sectors worldwide. The company offers cutting and grinding oils and fluids, including water miscible cutting and grinding fluids and straight cutting and grinding oils; forming oils and fluids such as water miscible cold rolling oils, straight rolling oils, hot rolling oils for seamless pipes, non-graphite hot forging oils, drawing oils, pressing oils, and cold forging oils; surface treatment agents comprising rust preventives, metal cleaners, car paint protective coatings, and car body protective waxes; water miscible cutting fluids for inner diamond blade saws, straight slurry bases for multi blade and multi wire saws, fire resistant water miscible slurry bases for multi wire saws, grinding fluids for aluminum and glass disks, and diamond slurries for magnetic heads; die lubricants including aluminum and magnesium diecast lubricants, urethane foam mold release agents, and plunger tip lubricants; aqueous quenchant products; fire resistant hydraulic fluids; and deodorant products; building maintenance chemicals such as urethane and acrylic resin waxes, water based and oil-based floor waxes, surface cleaners, stripping agents, carpet cleaners, hand soaps, and floor maintenance equipment including maintenance riding carts. Founded in 1944 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, Yushiro operates through subsidiaries and joint ventures in Asia, the Americas, and other regions, including Shanghai Yushiro Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. in China, Yushiro Manufacturing America Inc. in the United States, Yushiro Do Brasil Industria Quimica Ltda. in Brazil, and facilities in India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Mexico, Taiwan, South Korea, and Hong Kong. In April 2025, the company changed its name from Yushiro Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. to Yushiro Inc.; it merged with Japan Cee-Bee Chemical Co., Ltd. in March 2023, having previously made it a subsidiary in 2015, and maintains a strategic global partnership with QualiChem Inc. established in 2020 to expand metalworking fluids and water treatment offerings through combined R&D, supply chain, and sales networks.
