UEM Sunrise Berhad functions as a prominent investment holding entity, actively engaged in the comprehensive development of townships and diverse properties across Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, and South Africa. Its operations are strategically structured into three key divisions: Property Development, Property Investment and Hotel Operation, and a miscellaneous 'Others' segment. The company undertakes the creation and sale of a wide array of properties, encompassing residential, commercial, industrial, and retail spaces. Beyond construction, its activities extend to land transactions, direct property investments for rental income or capital appreciation, and the stewardship of assets and facilities. UEM Sunrise also provides expert project procurement and management, land leasing, and a suite of consultancy, advisory, and technical services tailored for development initiatives. Furthermore, it manages hotel operations, operates specialized buildings under long-term leases, engages in general trading, runs convention centers, takes on construction and turnkey development agreements, and delivers digital solutions. Recently, UEM Sunrise reported a robust financial year for 2024, outperforming its sales targets and launched Gross Development Value (GDV). This success was significantly driven by strong take-up rates for its projects in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, a region where the company serves as the master developer. The company is strategically adapting its focus in the Southern region towards industrial and commercial developments, aligning with the opportunities presented by the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) and national industrial plans. Emphasizing innovation, UEM Sunrise is integrating Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies, including the launch of its HomeClick digital platform, to enhance customer experience and future-proof its business. Demonstrating its commitment to sustainability, the company maintains its position in the FTSE4Good index and has introduced a comprehensive Sustainability Policy. Incorporated in 2008 and headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, UEM Sunrise Berhad is a subsidiary of UEM Group Berhad. The company's leadership was further strengthened with the appointment of Shaharul Farez Hassan as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective November 17, 2025.
