Business
Yuken Kogyo Co., Ltd. develops, manufactures, and sells hydraulic equipment, systems, and environmental machinery primarily in Japan and internationally through subsidiaries and sales networks in China, Asia, Europe, North America, and Africa. Founded in 1929 and incorporated in 1956, the company is headquartered in Ayase, Kanagawa, Japan, and operates through three main segments: Hydraulic Equipment, which offers hydraulic pumps, hydraulic motors, proportional electro-hydraulic controls, pressure control valves, flow control valves, directional control valves, modular valves, logic valves, linear servo valves, AC servo motor driven pumps, and hydraulic cylinders; Hydraulic System, which provides hydraulic systems for industrial machines and marine applications, special hydraulic power units, and standard power packs; and Environmental Machinery, which includes PET bottle compacting presses, automatic chip compactors such as KIRIKO, garbage compactors, separators for waste plastic, plastic bags, drum compactors, food waste pressure separators, cardboards, metal chips, oil, and beverage cans. The company maintains production facilities including the Sagami Plant and Fukuroda Factory in Japan, along with global group companies such as Yuken Kogyo (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Yuken Hydraulics (Zhangjiagang) Co., Ltd., Yuken India Limited, Yuken Europe Limited, and Yuken North America Corporation. In recent developments, Yuken Kogyo acquired 100% of JPN Co., Ltd. from its director and shareholders in October 2025, making it a subsidiary; completed an equity buyback of 144,400 shares (3.87% of issued capital) for ¥429.73 million announced in November 2025; announced another buyback of up to 150,000 shares (4.05%) for ¥450 million on November 10, 2025; and issued notices in October 2025 for production base changes, discontinuation of certain F3 Series Pipe Flange Kits models, and model updates to Standard Hydraulic Power Units YP Pack.
