Business
Faltec Co., Ltd. (7215.T) designs, develops, manufactures, and sells automotive exterior parts, aftermarket accessories, and related devices primarily for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and dealers worldwide. The company offers a broad portfolio of products including plastic exteriors such as radiator grilles, front bumper grilles, bumpers, rear spoilers, aero parts, mudguards, center mudguard trims, EV charge port covers, wheel covers, millimeter wave radar covers, lower grilles, and weatherstrips; metal products comprising roof rails, window sashes, and guide rails; moldings encompassing windshield moldings, back window moldings, side window moldings, roof moldings, stainless steel moldings, door sash moldings, side moldings, and rear finishers; electrical and electronic components such as daytime running lamps, ambient lighting systems, fog lamps, kicking plates with LED, stylish turn signal lamps, rear view cameras, remote engine starters, telematics communication units (TCUs), and grip heaters; textiles including floor mats; and rubber seal parts like O-shaped rings and various seal rings. It operates through three main segments: automotive exterior parts (factory-installed plastic and metal components), aftermarket products (genuine dealer-sold exterior and electrical items), and automotive devices (inspection, maintenance, and manufacturing equipment for OEMs). Faltec maintains an extensive global footprint with headquarters in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan—where it was incorporated in 2004 following mergers of predecessor entities dating back to 1917—and numerous facilities across Japan (including Fukushima, Tatebayashi, Kanda, Saigawa, Mikawa, and Anjo plants), as well as subsidiaries in the United States (Faltec America Inc. in Tennessee and Georgia), United Kingdom (Faltec Europe Limited), Thailand (Faltec SRG Global Thailand Co., Ltd.), and China (Foshan and Hubei Faltec Automotive Parts Co., Ltd.). As a subsidiary of TPR Co., Ltd., the company targets major automakers in Japan, Asia, North America, and Europe. Recent developments include the continued emphasis on core growth areas like radiator grilles, millimeter wave radar covers, roof rails, window moldings, and electrical components amid rising demand; the 2018 launch of Kyushu Kanda Plant 2 and incorporation of Kitakyushu Faltec Co., Ltd.; a 2014 acquisition of business from Mitsubishi Cable Industries, Ltd.; and steady financial guidance for fiscal year 2025 with projected sales of 72 billion yen, reflecting operational stability and focus on manufacturing enhancements such as patented processes and overseas deployment of Japanese production know-how.
