The company also offers precision grinding, polishing, universal joint repair, manufacturing and maintenance of automobile parts cleaning equipment, industrial machinery, and related control software and systems. Founded in 1878 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, Rix operates manufacturing facilities across Japan, Thailand, and China, with a substantial global presence in industrial machinery and materials markets. In recent major developments, Rix Corporation’s consolidated subsidiary Rixtechno is merging with its wholly owned sub-subsidiary CEM Corporation, focusing on control systems and software for industrial machinery, effective December 1, 2025, as part of operational consolidation. The company has entered a strategic partnership with Sumitomo Heavy Industries to expand global access to advanced compressor and gas generation technologies. In leadership changes, Dana Otterson James has been appointed President and CEO, steering the company toward innovation and growth.
