Tomato Bank, Ltd. is a regional bank headquartered in Okayama, Japan, engaged in providing a broad range of banking and financial services primarily targeting individual and corporate customers within the region. Founded in 1931 as a savings and loan association and later transitioning to an ordinary commercial bank in 1989, the company offers a comprehensive portfolio of products including fixed, ordinary, time, reserve, and foreign currency deposits; general accounts; and various loan products such as card loans, housing loans, renovation loans, free loans, car loans, and education loans. Additionally, the bank provides debit and credit card services, life supporting plans, life and non-life insurance products, public bonds, pension plans, investment trusts, electronic money charge services, payment and transfer services, safe deposit box rentals, and Internet and mobile banking. It also offers consulting, business support, fund management, ATM services, and engages in leasing business operations. In the last two years, Tomato Bank has focused on operational transformation with initiatives starting in April 2024 aimed at managing human resources more efficiently and transforming business operations to expand customer contact points and optimize management resources. Significant recent changes include strategic efforts to enhance its management structure and business processes, driving more efficient resource allocation and operational growth. The bank also completed the acquisition of the remaining 60.5% stake in Tomato Lease Co., Ltd. for approximately ¥590 million, further consolidating its leasing business segment. Tomato Bank operates through a network of 61 branches mainly in Okayama Prefecture and continues to serve small and medium-sized companies as well as individual clients. It maintains a strong regional presence with a focus on community banking and supporting regional economic development. The bank is publicly listed with a capital base of approximately ¥14.3 billion and shares outstanding around 12.7 million. Tomato Bank maintains a strategy of steady financial performance and dividend payout supported by its diversified product offerings and service expansion efforts.
