Business
Abéo S.A. (ABEO.PA) designs, manufactures, and distributes sports and leisure equipment worldwide, serving professional sports venues, schools, gyms, indoor climbing facilities, and leisure centers. The company operates through three main divisions: Sport, offering gymnastics apparatus and mats (Gymnova, Spieth, Janssen-Fritsen), physical education and team sports equipment (Schelde, SA Sport); Sportainment & Climbing, providing climbing walls, leisure climbing solutions, and playgrounds (Entre-Prises, Clip’n Climb, Top 30, ELI Play); and Changing Rooms, supplying locker room and bathroom fittings (France Equipement, Prospec, Navic, Sanitec, Suffixe). A family-owned group founded in 2002 with origins dating back to 1981 and headquartered in Rioz, France, Abéo generates over two-thirds of its revenue from international markets across more than 50 countries, supported by nearly 30 subsidiaries, 24 production sites, and approximately 1,700 employees. In recent developments, Abéo strengthens its international expansion through strategic acquisitions, including ELI Play in May 2025 to bolster its Sportainment division with European playground and trampoline park expertise, and a proposed voluntary public offer for VOGO shares launched in October 2025 to form an alliance in sports technology. The company reports robust financial performance, with Q2 2025/26 revenue up 15.5% to €77.7 million driven by acquisitions and organic growth, H1 2025/26 order intake at €139.5 million, and solid 2024/25 full-year earnings announced in June 2025 alongside an enhanced outlook.
