- Hartford Alpha Capture Growth ETF is an actively managed, non-diversified exchange-traded fund and a series of Hartford Funds Exchange-Traded Trust, designed to seek long-term capital appreciation through investment primarily in common stocks of U.S.-located issuers. Launched on June 2, 2026, the Fund trades on Cboe BZX Exchange under the ticker ACGO and serves investors seeking exchange-traded exposure to a fundamentally researched, large-cap growth equity portfolio. Hartford Funds Exchange-Traded Trust is headquartered in Wayne, Pennsylvania, United States. The Fund is managed by Hartford Funds Management Company, LLC and sub-advised by Wellington Management Company LLP; ALPS Distributors, Inc. acts as distributor.
The Fund’s principal investment activities include actively selecting U.S. common stocks, generally emphasizing companies within the market-capitalization range of the Russell 1000 Index and S&P 500 Index; constructing a portfolio from investment ideas generated by multiple Wellington Management fundamental equity teams with differing growth-investing approaches; conducting bottom-up company analysis incorporating business conditions, management quality, balance sheets, income statements, anticipated earnings, revenue, dividends, valuation and growth potential; applying quantitative portfolio-construction tools to manage aggregate portfolio risk and maintain a balanced growth profile; and actively trading securities. The Fund may also invest in foreign issuers, including through depositary receipts; exchange-traded funds, exchange-traded notes and real estate investment trusts; restricted securities; and exchange-traded derivatives, including equity-index futures, for risk management, issuer or sector exposure and cash equitization. Individual shares are bought and sold through broker-dealers in the secondary market, while Creation Units are issued and redeemed at net asset value to authorized participants in exchange for securities and/or cash.
The Fund primarily targets U.S. large-cap growth companies but may invest across market capitalizations and sectors, with portfolio construction intended to draw on complementary investment perspectives from Wellington Management’s equity teams. As of August 19, 2026, principal portfolio holdings included NVIDIA Corp., Alphabet Inc., Apple Inc., Microsoft Corp., Broadcom Inc., Eli Lilly and Co., Micron Technology Inc., Meta Platforms Inc. and Mastercard Inc. The Fund carried net assets of approximately $28.6 million, 750,000 shares outstanding and net annual operating expenses of 0.42%, reflecting a contractual expense reimbursement arrangement expected to remain in effect through February 29, 2028.
The principal recent corporate development is the Fund’s launch and commencement of exchange trading on June 2, 2026, expanding Hartford Funds’ Alpha Capture ETF suite with a style-pure, actively managed growth-equity offering built on Wellington Management’s fundamental research capabilities. Thomas S. Simon, CFA, FRM, Senior Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Wellington Management, has managed the Fund since its inception. The Fund does not seek to replicate a specified index and has limited operating history.
