Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the company functions as a key facilitator of global supply chains and economic diversification, operating as a publicly listed entity on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange under the majority ownership of ADQ (Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company PJSC). The company manages its core commercial activities across five principal business clusters: Ports, Economic Cities & Free Zones, Maritime & Shipping, Logistics, and Digital. Through its Ports cluster, the company owns, manages, and operates multipurpose deep-water commercial ports, container hubs, and cruise terminals across the UAE and international markets, providing container handling; general, dry, and liquid bulk cargo handling; roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) vehicle transshipment; harbor towage, pilotage, and mooring services; vessel traffic management; and passenger terminal operations. Through its Economic Cities & Free Zones cluster, managed under Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD Group), the company develops and operates specialized industrial ecosystems, logistics parks, and free trade zones, offering long-term industrial land leases; pre-built standard warehouses and light industrial units; customized built-to-suit industrial facilities; dedicated worker residential cities; and utility, infrastructure, and business setup services for industrial, chemical, food, automotive, and life sciences sectors. Through its Maritime & Shipping cluster, operating under the SAFEEN brand and global shipping subsidiaries, the company provides regional container feeder services; dry bulk and tanker chartering; offshore support vessel operations; subsea engineering and commercial diving; marine bunkering; transshipment services; and technical vessel management. Through its Logistics cluster, anchored globally by Noatum and MICCO Logistics, the company delivers integrated end-to-end supply chain services comprising international air, ocean, rail, and road freight forwarding; contract logistics; temperature-controlled and cold-chain warehousing; specialized automotive logistics; heavy-lift and project cargo handling; and customs clearance brokerage. Through its Digital cluster, led by Maqta Gateway, the company develops and deploys single-window digital trade platforms, port community systems (PCS), electronic customs platforms, and digital supply chain tracking applications. In recent strategic developments, Abu Dhabi Ports Company PJSC has accelerated its global expansion through major cross-border acquisitions, long-term port concessions, and strategic international partnerships. The company completed the full acquisition of Spain-based Noatum Holdings, establishing a direct logistics and freight forwarding footprint spanning more than 25 countries across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. The group expanded its maritime feeder and regional container capacity through the acquisition of an 80 percent stake in Global Feeder Shipping (GFS) and majority acquisitions of Egypt-based maritime operators Transmar and Transcargo International (TCI), alongside the acquisition of Sesé Auto Logistics in Europe. Expanding its international port management portfolio, the company secured a 50-year concession agreement with the Karachi Port Trust to develop and operate container and clean bulk terminals at the Port of Karachi in Pakistan, a 30-year concession for a multipurpose commercial terminal at the Port of Pointe-Noire in the Republic of the Congo, a 20-year concession to modernize and operate the multipurpose terminal at the Port of Luanda in Angola, and a 30-year concession with Egypt's Red Sea Ports Authority for a multipurpose terminal at Safaga Port. Additionally, the company formed maritime joint ventures in Central Asia to operate tanker and dry bulk fleets across the Caspian and Black Seas, and completed major infrastructure expansions at its flagship Khalifa Port to increase container and bulk handling capacity for global maritime trade corridors.
