- Alphamin Resources Corp. (TSXV:AFM; JSE:APH) produces and sells tin concentrate from its high-grade Bisie tin mine complex in the Democratic Republic of Congo's North Kivu Province, encompassing the adjacent Mpama North and Mpama South deposits; Mpama North operates at a tin grade of roughly 4.5%, the world's highest, while Mpama South grades roughly 2%, the second highest, with the blended complex producing approximately 20,000 tonnes of contained tin annually from a processing capacity of 25,000 tonnes and holding additional exploration licenses in the region. The Mauritius-headquartered company, founded in 1981 as La Plata Gold Corporation and renamed Alphamin Resources in October 2008, serves global markets for tin used in electronics, manufacturing and industrial applications, with operations focused solely on low-cost tin extraction, sustainable mining practices and ongoing exploration for further deposits to extend mine life. In June 2025, International Resources Holding (IRH) agreed to acquire approximately 56% of Alphamin's outstanding common shares from Tremont Master Holdings via a wholly owned subsidiary, marking a major ownership shift and bolstering IRH's position in industrial metals while Tremont retains a minimal 0.8% stake pending regulatory and corporate approvals; this followed Alphamin's 2024 production expansion from 12,500 to 20,000 tonnes of contained tin per year.
