In recent strategic moves, Altri has expanded its focus to sustainable textiles, exemplified by its July 2025 acquisition of a majority stake in AeoniQ™, a company developing climate-positive, biodegradable cellulosic filament yarn intended to replace synthetic fibers. This initiative includes plans for a new industrial plant at the Caima mill. The company is also undertaking a significant conversion project at its Biotek mill to enhance dissolving pulp production, with new equipment scheduled for startup in 2026 and 2027. Furthermore, Altri solidified its presence in Galicia, Spain, in May 2025 through the acquisition of Greenalia Forest and Greenalia Logistics, supporting its regional projects.
