Its product portfolio includes ethanolamines such as methyl monoethanolamine and methyl diethanolamine (MDEA); alkyl alkanol amines; morpholine and substituted morpholines including N-methylmorpholine N-oxide (NMMO 50%); specialty ethylene oxide (EO) and propylene oxide (PO) derivatives and surfactants; and plasticizers like phthalates, sebacates, trimellitates, and acetates. These products serve diverse industrial applications including petrochemicals, oil refining, gas plants, textiles, paints, coatings, printing inks, polyurethanes, metalworking fluids, corrosion inhibitors, agrochemicals, and photographic chemicals. Founded in 1973 and headquartered in Mumbai with manufacturing facilities in Navi Mumbai, Amines & Plasticizers Limited operates domestically and internationally, exporting to over 35 countries including the USA, Canada, Germany, and South Korea. The company maintains a wholly owned subsidiary in the UAE for general trading to support its global presence. It has a market leadership position in the Indian ethanolamines and alkyl alkanolamines segments, supplying approximately 75-80% of domestic demand. Recent major developments include the acquisition of a 26% equity stake in Radiance MH Sunrise Six Pvt Ltd in 2024, marking a strategic expansion. The company has intensified research and development efforts, entering a partnership with a leading Japanese multinational corporation to manufacture new carbon capture solvents, enabling it to move up the value chain. It is expanding offerings in epoxylates and propoxylates. Operationally, Amines & Plasticizers has undertaken minor debottlenecking projects to improve plant efficiencies and invested in its own fleet of ethylene oxide tanks to secure raw material logistics. The company continues to focus on sustainability, completing a comprehensive carbon footprint assessment and committing to environmental impact reduction. Amines & Plasticizers Limited employs around 260 people and is ISO-certified for quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety standards. It operates in the commodity chemicals sub-sector within materials, targeting industries such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, oil and gas, textiles, and coatings. The company reported a revenue of approximately Rs. 660 crore and a profit after tax of Rs. 41 crore for FY25, reflecting stable operational performance despite global market uncertainties. This combination of broad product offerings, international reach, recent strategic investments, innovation in green chemistry, and operational enhancements position Amines & Plasticizers Limited as a prominent player in specialty chemicals in India and globally.
