Aptus Value Housing Finance India Limited (APTUS.NS) is a Chennai-based housing finance company founded in 2009 that primarily addresses the housing finance needs of self-employed low- and middle-income families in semi-urban and rural India. The company offers a range of secured lending products including home loans for construction, purchase, renovation, and extension of residential properties; quasi-home loans up to Rs 25 lakhs for refinancing construction investments or house purchases; loans against property for business purposes with a maximum loan-to-value ratio of 60%; and business loans to individuals using self-occupied property as collateral. It also provides insurance support through collaborations with insurance providers for credit shield and property insurance pertinent to housing finance. Aptus operates 320 branches across six states and union territories, serving over 172,000 customers with a loan book of Rs 11,767 crore as of the latest reporting. Recent developments include the allotment of 15,000 secured non-convertible debentures aggregating Rs 150 crore in November 2025 with a five-year tenor and 7.95% coupon rate; direct assignment transactions for loan against property and small and medium enterprise loans commencing in fiscal 2025; expansion of its non-housing loan portfolio, which now constitutes a sizeable share of assets under management totaling Rs 10,845 crore as of March 31, 2025; a 22% year-over-year increase in profit after tax to Rs 612 crore for fiscal 2024; and the opening of 31 new branches in fiscal 2024 to reach 262 locations. The company maintains a strong capitalization ratio of 1.7 times as of June 2025, supporting 30% assets under management growth targets over the next three to four years, with headquarters at 8B Doshi Towers, Poonamallee High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Its wholly-owned subsidiary, Aptus Finance India Private Limited, extends mortgage loans to small and medium enterprises.
