Business
Arcoma AB develops, produces, and provides complete digital radiography and radiology solutions globally, specializing in advanced digital X-ray systems that combine the latest imaging technology with technically advanced motorized positioning and ergonomic Scandinavian design. Its product portfolio includes digital X-ray systems such as the Precision series with autopositioning technology, the Intuition system featuring lightweight versatile design and auto-tracking, and ceiling suspensions optimized for high patient throughput and clinical workflow efficiency. The company serves hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers through OEM partners including Canon and Konica Minolta, as well as local distributors, with over 3,500 installations worldwide. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden, Arcoma focuses on patient-centric care by maximizing comfort and ease of use for radiologists and patients. In the last two years, Arcoma has notably completed a directed share issue raising approximately SEK 11.0 million (~EUR 1 million) led by Eiffel Investment Group, which became one of the company's largest shareholders, strengthening Arcoma's financial position and accelerating its growth strategy. The company plans to use the proceeds to expand sales resources, enhance product development and innovation, and actively pursue an acquisition strategy to consolidate its market position. Additionally, Arcoma won a significant procurement contract in Finland for up to six Precision i5 systems supplied to the HUS Medical Imaging Center, reflecting expanding operations within the Nordic region. These developments support Arcoma’s focus on improving profitability, market presence, and long-term value creation in the digital radiology industry. Arcoma operates primarily in the healthcare technology sector, targeting medical facilities requiring state-of-the-art digital imaging systems for radiology diagnostics. The company’s offerings are recognized for combining advanced digital imaging with specialized positioning technology, enabling efficient workflow and high patient throughput. Its strategic alliances with OEM partners and recent financial strengthening reinforce its position within international markets, particularly in Europe and North America. Arcoma’s business model leverages innovation, expansion, and partnerships to sustain its leadership in digital radiography since its founding and continued operations from Sweden.
