- ARK DIET Q2 Buffer ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks capital appreciation with a measure of downside protection by providing a defined-outcome exposure to the ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK). The fund invests principally in ARKK and uses a portfolio of exchange-traded and/or FLEX options, including written call options, purchased put options and purchased out-of-the-money call options, to structure returns over a 12-month outcome period beginning each April. It is designed to participate in approximately half of ARKK’s losses during the outcome period, while foregoing the first approximately 5% of ARKK appreciation and participating in approximately 50% to 80% of further gains, subject to the outcome-period terms, fees and expenses. ARKK provides actively managed equity exposure to disruptive-innovation themes, including artificial intelligence, public blockchains, multiomic sequencing, energy storage and robotics. ARK DIET Q2 Buffer ETF is part of ARK Investment Management LLC’s Defined Innovation Exposure Term, or DIET, Buffer ETF suite, alongside quarterly-vintage funds ARKD, ARKE and ARKT; the suite is structured to offer rolling annual outcome periods beginning in January, April, July and October. The fund is advised by ARK Investment Management LLC, headquartered in New York, New York, and is distributed by Foreside Fund Services LLC. ARK Investment Management, founded in 2014, focuses on actively managed strategies centered on disruptive innovation. ARK DIET Q2 Buffer ETF was introduced as the Q2 member of the DIET Buffer ETF suite and commenced its initial annual outcome period on April 1, 2026, representing ARK’s expansion of its product range from conventional thematic equity ETFs into options-based, structured-outcome products designed to moderate short-term drawdowns while retaining selected upside exposure to ARKK.
