- ARK DIET Q4 Buffer ETF (ARKT) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund launched by ARK Investment Management LLC, an investment adviser specializing in disruptive-innovation strategies. The fund seeks capital appreciation with a measure of downside protection by providing defined exposure to the share-price performance of the ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) during rolling 12-month outcome periods running generally from October 1 through September 30. ARKT’s principal investment strategy consists of investing substantially in ARKK and using exchange-traded FLEX Options on ARKK to establish its targeted risk-return profile; the fund is designed to participate in approximately 50% of any decline in ARKK’s net asset value over a full outcome period, provide no return when ARKK appreciates between 0% and approximately 5%, and participate in positive ARKK performance above the hurdle rate at a stated upside participation rate, before fees and expenses. The fund offers a listed, options-overlay investment vehicle for investors and financial advisers seeking exposure to ARK’s innovation-focused equity strategy with reduced downside participation and uncapped, but partial, upside participation above the defined hurdle. ARKT trades on the Cboe BZX Exchange and is organized as a series of ARK ETF Trust; ARK Investment Management LLC serves as investment adviser. The fund was introduced on October 1, 2025, as the inaugural product in ARK’s Defined Innovation Exposure Term, or DIET, Buffer ETF suite. Its principal recent strategic development is the rollout of this quarterly-laddered suite, which adds the ARK DIET Q1 Buffer ETF, ARK DIET Q2 Buffer ETF and ARK DIET Q3 Buffer ETF and creates new annual outcome periods beginning in January, April, July and October, respectively. ARK Investment Management LLC was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida.
