Founded in 1740 and headquartered in Kostrzyn nad Odrą, Poland, the company employs approximately 1,500 people and emphasizes sustainable production processes, including Cradle to Cradle Certified® certification at its Munken Paper Mill. Recent developments include expansion of the photovoltaic farm at the Kostrzyn mill to 30 MW capacity, completed in Q2 2025; construction of a 50,000-ton annual wood pellet production line and bio-boiler upgrade at Grycksbo, operational by year-end 2025; modernization of paper machines and energy-saving measures at Grycksbo and Munkedal mills; launch of moulded fibre tray production in Kostrzyn to replace plastic packaging; and acquisition of additional shares in subsidiary Rottneros AB through a 2025 share issue without pre-emptive rights.
