Business
Artemis Gold Inc. is a Canada-based gold development company engaged primarily in the exploration, development, and operation of gold mining properties, with a strategic focus on its flagship Blackwater Gold Project located in central British Columbia. The company's core products and services include gold and silver production through its Blackwater open-pit mine, processing plant operations, and phased expansion plans aimed at increasing throughput capacity from an initial 6 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) to 8 Mtpa by Q4 2026, with a longer-term goal of reaching 25 Mtpa capacity. Artemis Gold deploys advanced crushing and grinding equipment and manages extensive mining operations involving large-scale excavators to optimize gold and silver extraction. The company serves both domestic and global precious metals markets. Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Artemis Gold has recently achieved key milestones, including the commencement of commercial production at Blackwater in May 2025 and the first gold and silver pour in January 2025. It secured an additional US$40 million funding in 2025 to fully finance Phase 1 capital expenditures and announced optimized development plans that increased the Phase 1 plant capacity by 33%. The company secured a $700 million revolving credit facility in 2025, strengthening its financial position. Long-lead equipment orders for Phase 2 expansion have been placed, and engineering advances continue toward a final decision expected in late 2025. Artemis Gold has emphasized ESG commitments, including partnerships with Indigenous communities and adherence to responsible mining practices as part of its operational strategy. The company's Blackwater project stands as a major capital investment in British Columbia, featuring modern processing infrastructure with primary gyratory crushers, cone crushers, and ball mills sourced through agreements with suppliers like Metso Outotec. Artemis Gold aims to maximize shareholder value through disciplined development and sustainable growth, leveraging its substantial land package and focus on expanding resource base and output. It operates as a publicly traded entity on the TSX Venture Exchange under the ticker ARTG, positioning itself as a significant player in the gold mining sector with robust operational and financial momentum during 2024-2025.
