Business
Azzas 2154 S.A., formerly Arezzo Indústria e Comércio S.A., operates as a leading Brazilian fashion retailer specializing in women's footwear, handbags, clothing, and accessories; its core brand portfolio encompasses Arezzo for premium casual footwear and bags, Schutz for trendy high-heeled shoes and apparel, Anacapri for flexible flat sandals, Alexandre Birman for luxury high-end designs, Fiever and Alme for accessible fashion items, alongside expanded offerings in women's and men's lifestyle clothing and democratic apparel segments following recent integration; the company manages an integrated value chain from design and manufacturing to multibrand retail through owned stores, franchises, and e-commerce platforms. Founded in 1972 and headquartered in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, with operational facilities in Cariacica, Espírito Santo, Azzas 2154 primarily serves the Latin American market, particularly Brazil, targeting diverse consumer segments across income levels via approximately 630 franchise stores, 45 company-owned outlets, and digital channels. In July 2024, the company completed the merger with Grupo de Moda Soma S.A. for BRL 5.9 billion, approved by CADE in March 2024, creating four business units—footwear and bags, women's lifestyle clothing, men's lifestyle clothing, and democratic clothing—increasing capital stock by BRL 578.9 million through issuance of 95.5 million new shares and adopting the new name Azzas 2154 S.A. under ticker AZZA3.SA, with joint governance by legacy shareholders of both entities.
