Asahi India Glass Limited (AIS) is India's leading integrated glass solutions company operating primarily in the automotive and architectural glass segments. The company recently announced a ₹500 crore investment in a new greenfield automotive glass plant near Mehsana, Gujarat, aimed at producing 1 million laminated glasses and 1.2 million tempered glass sets annually, primarily for Maruti Suzuki's Gujarat plant. Additionally, AIS has implemented advanced sustainability measures including the installation of two waste heat recovery systems at its plants in Soniyana, Rajasthan and Roorkee, Uttarakhand, in partnership with GEA, aiming for carbon neutrality and enhanced environmental responsibility. Recent management changes include the retirement of Mr. Masahiro Takeda and appointment of Mr. Kazuo Ninomiya.
