Business
Associated Alcohols & Breweries Limited is an Indian distillery company engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of alcoholic beverages and related products. The company offers a diversified portfolio including extra neutral alcohol (ENA), Indian Made Indian Liquor (IMIL), Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), whisky, rum, vodka, brandy, gin, and beer. It manufactures its products under proprietary brands such as Central Province, Titanium Triple Distilled, Bombay Special, Desi Madira, Superman Fine, James McGill, Jamaican Magic, and Nicobar. The company also operates licensed and contract manufacturing agreements with prominent global alcohol companies including United Spirits (Diageo) and Inbrew Beverages, bottling well-known brands such as Black & White, Smirnoff, VAT69, and Black Dog. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in India, Associated Alcohols & Breweries operates one of the largest integrated alcohol manufacturing and bottling facilities located in Madhya Pradesh, with a capacity of 12.5 million cases annually and an ENA production capacity of 45 million liters per annum. The facility also includes a cogeneration power plant supplying 60% of its power demand. The company has expanded its manufacturing capacity with recent investments in ethanol production (40 MLPA) and increased bottling capacity in Uttar Pradesh, aiming to strengthen its market position in India. Recent major developments include the company’s participation in the resolution process for acquiring SDF Industries Limited to expand its IMFL bottling capacity in Kerala, enhancing its geographic footprint in southern India. Associated Alcohols & Breweries has also revised its franchisee agreement with Inbrew Beverages, launched new whisky products, and continued its strategic focus on increasing the share of proprietary IMFL brands, contributing to its revenue growth. The company actively pursues capacity expansions, product premiumization, and strengthening long-term partnerships with global and domestic alcohol manufacturers, maintaining a significant presence primarily in India’s Madhya Pradesh and growing in other states. Overall, Associated Alcohols & Breweries Limited is a comprehensive alcohol manufacturer and bottler focused on a wide range of spirits and liquors, leveraged by integrated production capabilities, strong proprietary brands, and key strategic alliances, with recent moves aimed at geographic and capacity expansion to capture the growing Indian alcoholic beverage market.
