Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi undertakes a broad spectrum of activities encompassing research, development, engineering, production, rigorous testing, assembly, integration, and worldwide sales, coupled with comprehensive after-sales support, advisory services, and trade in advanced software, systems, equipment, tools, materials, and specialized platforms. This prominent Turkish defense corporation operates through several strategic divisions, including Communication and Information Technologies; Radar and Electronic Warfare Systems; Defense Systems Technologies; Microelectronics, Guidance & Electro-Optics; and Transportation, Security, Energy, Automation and Medical Systems. The company's extensive portfolio features military communications solutions, sophisticated radar systems, electronic warfare capabilities, advanced avionics, and air and missile defense platforms. It also delivers specialized land and naval combat systems, including remote weapon stations, artillery, mortar systems, smart munitions, and command and control applications. In microelectronics, Aselsan develops hybrid circuits, night vision devices, thermal cameras, laser rangefinders, and inertial navigation systems. Beyond defense, Aselsan applies its high-tech expertise to civilian sectors, offering intelligent transportation systems such as electronic toll collection and advanced traffic management, railway and highway solutions, and metropolitan metro signaling. Additionally, it provides security systems, energy management and smart grid technologies, hybrid energy solutions, power converters, and medical imaging, diagnostic, and life support devices. Established in Ankara, Turkey, in 1975, the company is primarily focused on serving the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces while also exporting its sophisticated systems and solutions to international clients in over 85 countries. Aselsan posted robust financial results in the first half of 2025, reporting revenues of 53.7 billion TL, marking an 11.3% real increase year-on-year, supported by strong deliveries across key sectors. Its order backlog surged by 30% to $16 billion USD, reflecting solid future demand, with new contracts totaling $2.8 billion USD, including $1.3 billion USD from export agreements. The company recently initiated strategic investments valued at $616 million to boost its mass production capabilities for photon detectors, radar technologies, and air defense systems. Notably, Aselsan introduced eight new products in the first half of 2025, including its GÖKSUR Point Defense Missile System, which successfully completed its inaugural launch from a surface platform, and unveiled an advanced C-UAV system and next-generation naval defense solutions. Aselsan consistently ranks among the top global defense companies, climbing to 42nd on the Defense News Top 100 list. The company remains a subsidiary of the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation.
