Business
Auto Italia Holdings Limited (HKEX: 720; OTC: ATTGF) is a Bermuda-incorporated investment holding company primarily engaged in the marketing, distribution, and after-sales servicing of Italian branded luxury cars, including Maserati vehicles; car trading and related accessories; sales and export of electric vehicles and components; property investment; securities investments; financing and corporate finance services; and life sciences investments. Its subsidiaries operate 4S dealerships and pre-delivery inspection services in Hong Kong, Macau, the People's Republic of China (including Shanghai and Wuhan), the United Kingdom, and target expansion into the European electric vehicle market. Incorporated in 1989 and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1991, the company, formerly known as Wo Kee Hong (Holdings) Limited, changed its name to Auto Italia Holdings Limited in September 2012 and maintains its headquarters in Hamilton, Bermuda, with key operational offices in Hong Kong. In September 2024, the company announced a conditional agreement through its wholly-owned subsidiary to acquire the entire issued share capital of Hudson Holding Limited (the Target Group), including PRC-based Pingtan Datian and Hudson Automotive Technology (Chongqing), for HK$165.9 million, to be settled via consideration shares and promissory notes; this light-asset electric vehicle exporter targets European commercial van markets with existing orders, patents, and OEM partnerships in China, aiming to leverage synergies in logistics, distribution networks, and supply chains for EV sales projected to generate RMB422 million in guaranteed 2025 revenue. The acquisition, supported by legal, financial due diligence, and independent valuation using an income approach, expands the group's automotive footprint amid European emission policies and builds on management expertise in luxury vehicles, R&D, and international markets led by Executive Chairman and CEO Tin Lung Chong.
