Business
Bajel Projects Limited (BAJEL.NS) operates as an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company focused on power infrastructure, providing turnkey solutions including engineering, design, testing, manufacturing, execution, and commissioning of extra high-voltage (EHV) transmission lines; high-voltage and EHV substations; underground cabling; poles, monopoles, high masts, and octagonal or conical poles; rural and urban electrification projects; primary distribution substations; feeder separation; and lift irrigation projects. The company serves four primary business verticals—Power Transmission, Power Distribution, Monopoles, and International EPC—with a world-class manufacturing facility at Ranjangaon MIDC, Pune, equipped for lattice towers, monopoles, and other fabricated structures, and targets state utilities, central transmission companies, private developers, and international governments across India, Africa, and other regions. Incorporated in 2022 as a demerger of the EPC segment from Bajaj Electricals Limited and headquartered at 801, Rustomjee Aspiree, Sion East, Mumbai, Maharashtra, Bajel Projects leverages over two decades of operational experience within the Bajaj Group. In recent developments, Bajel Projects has secured multiple large-scale orders, including a Rs 100-200 crore contract in June 2025 from a private energy entity for a 400 kV gas-insulated substation and 765 kV air-insulated substation extension involving supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and civil works; a Rs 400 crore-plus order from PowerGrid Corporation of India via MEL Power Transmission Ltd for a 138 km 400 kV transmission line and substation extension in Madhya Pradesh; a mega Rs 300-400 crore order from PowerGrid for a 99 km 400 kV transmission line in Rajasthan's Renewable Energy Zone Phase IV; and a large EPC order from Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation for 132 kV work, alongside a 765 kV transmission line contract under Rajasthan IV Phase 4. The company has committed Rs 170 crore for phased expansion of its Ranjangaon galvanizing capacity from 40,500 metric tonnes to 110,000 metric tonnes annually by Q4 FY27, funded by internal accruals and debt, to meet rising domestic and international demand driven by renewable energy integration and grid upgrades. These initiatives underscore Bajel's strategic push into high-growth transmission projects and manufacturing scale-up, with over 25 projects under execution for clients including PGCIL, MPPTCL, HVPNL, Torrent Power, ZESCO, and KPLC.
