Its core products include monomethylamine, dimethylamine, di-methyl acetamide, choline chloride, dimethyl urea, TEBAC, dimethylaminoethanol, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, N-ethyl-2-pyrrolidone, gamma butyrolactone, 2-pyrrolidone, morpholine, dimethyl formamide, acetonitrile, and various grades of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVPK30), serving industries such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, paints, resins, animal feed, oil and gas, rubber cleaning chemicals, dyes and textiles, pesticides, water treatment, cosmetics, explosives, and foundries. The company also manufactures downstream derivatives primarily for the pharmaceutical and pesticide sectors. Balaji Amines is India’s largest producer of aliphatic amines and the world's largest producer of dimethylamine hydrochloride (DMA-HCL). Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Solapur, Maharashtra, the company maintains ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 certifications and holds WHO GMP certification for certain products. It continues to expand product offerings in specialty chemicals with upcoming products like diethylene triamine, triethylene tetramine, piperazine, and ethylene diamine. Recent strategic developments include the commissioning of a new N-Butyl Amine manufacturing unit, ongoing projects for expanding methyl amine capacity (40,000 MT expected by end 2024), and a dimethyl ether (DME) unit anticipated to launch in early 2025 to serve as an alternative fuel. The company is also advancing a project to produce electronic-grade dimethyl carbonate (DMC) and plans to establish a 20-megawatt solar power plant in Solapur through a collaboration with the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC). These expansions and innovations aim to strengthen the company’s specialty chemical segment and improve long-term growth prospects. Balaji Amines operates primarily in India but serves a global clientele through exports. Its strategic investments and diversification efforts underline a focus on increasing specialty chemicals production and sustainability initiatives. The company is publicly listed with the ticker BALAMINES.NS. This profile reflects Balaji Amines Limited’s comprehensive product portfolio, its industry leadership in amines and derivatives, and recent investments in capacity expansion and renewable energy projects aimed at driving future growth.
